 Located in the Hotel, the dining room is the primary venue for dining at Mountain Lake. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served here where there are breathtaking, lovely views of the lake and surrounding mountains. A place where families can come together for some special, quiet time together to discuss the adventures of that day. Our dining room is open May 7, 2010 through the last Sunday morning in October with weekends and Thanksgiving in November 2010.

New! Tea Parties on Wednesdays
It's not just a pot of tea and a scone. Besides fresh brewed tea, sandwiches such as cucumber, egg or tuna, savories such as salmon and caper cream cheese in FILO cups, scones, and to top off the meal...fudge and cookies! Menu will vary. Takes place on the porch in the dining room and 3 days advance reservation is required. Price is $12.95 plus tax and gratutity - may be charged to room. Reservations may be made by emailing dining@mountainlakehotel.com. Parties may be arranged for other days besides Wednesdays.
Breakfast
Start your day off right with a bountiful breakfast. Each morning, Chef Porterfield, or one of his assistants, will be there filling your orders. We have also expanded our continental style buffet to include a larger selection of fresh fruits, hot and cold cereals, and a variety of pastries. There's a lot to do at Mountain Lake, come early and get a head start on the day.
Lunch
While breakfast and dinner are generally included in your room rate, lunch is at your own discretion. The menu is full of fantastic mid-day fare: club sandwiches and chips, hot sandwiches, soups, and a nice assortment of salads.
Dinner
Dinner is grand at Mountain Lake: the food, the staff, the dining room atmosphere, the views of the lake and mountain are all amazing. Many of our guests tell us that their dining experience at Mountain Lake is one of the most memorable parts of their stay. Chef Porterfield continues to create the fine entrees you have come to expect from his kitchen, and our servers continue to make sure everything is just "so." Reservations are required.
Children's Menu
Hey kids, you are in luck. Every meal, every day will have a bunch of kid friendly items to choose from. We want your meal to be as great as mom and dad's, don't worry we know spinach is yucky and that chicken nuggets rock. You'll never go hungry here.
Sunday Brunch
This just might be the greatest buffet brunch in Virginia. Food galore and it's all great. Chef Porterfield and his staff go all out to make sure that there is always something new to try, something to talk about on the trip home. If you have never tried our Sunday Brunch Buffet, make plans now. At only $19.95, it's unbelievable. Ages 12-18 are $15.00, ages 4-11 are $10 and children 3 and younger are free. Mother's day Buffet is at $25.00++ per person. Reservations are required.

Mountain Lake Conservancy & Hotel wants your stay to be simple and enjoyable, so remember, for registered hotel guests, dinner, breakfast, and gratuities are usually included in your package rate. However, we offer the same enticing menus and warm service to any non-hotel staying guests.

- A great family and friend gathering place. Take in the gorgeous views of the lake while you enjoy your favorite cocktail. Peetoot’s is also the best seat in the house to hear the Hyla Crudifer frogs (a.k.a. Spring Peeper, which is where our lounge gets its name) sing the night away.
